Robbery suspect draws comparisons to Jon Snow, Harry Styles
Detectives investigating a robbery may need to look in the north after releasing a computer-generated image of the suspect who bears a striking resemblance to “Game of Thrones” hero Jon Snow.
Sussex Police issued the image based on the victim’s description — which left him with “soulful eyes,” a smoldering expression and wavy, long black hair.
Eagle-eyed “Game of Thrones” fans were quick to point out that the portrayal of the suspect looks just like the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, portrayed by Kit Harrington in the smash series.
“It’s Jon Snow,” one fan immediately commented.
“Now that he’s not got to worry about the Iron Throne, it seems like Jon Snow has gone on the rob in Horsham,” another joked on the image.
But other commenters argued that they thought the image looked like former Once Direction star Harry Styles, or Emmerdale star Jacob Gallagher.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information about the May 15 incident, in Horsham, West Sussex.
The victim was approached by a well-spoken man, 18 to 20 years old, as he withdrew money from a cash machine. The suspect followed the victim to his car where he threatened him with a knife until the victim handed over some cash.
Police say the suspect then fled on a bike, and that he was of skinny build and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, had “very dark hair that was curly and over his ears.”
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “About 1am on Wednesday 15 May, officers on patrol were flagged down by a member of the public who claimed he had just been robbed at knifepoint in Carfax.
“An unknown man is reported to have approached him at a cash machine and demanded money. When the victim refused, he was followed to his car, where the suspect brandished a knife.
“The victim threw some cash on the floor to appease the suspect, who made off from the scene on a mountain bike described as very new in appearance, and with a white frame.
“Police carried out a search for the offender in the area, but there was no trace of him.
“He was wearing a dark colored beanie style hat, and a cream or white zip-up jacket with a dark-colored raised collar and a hood.”
